Can people find where you live even if you dont give personal information? And.... if you have it on privite can they find you? Like even if you dont give personal information. My daughter wants one. Should I let her?

Due to the fact that the media has portrayed Myspace as a bad site, many people believe it is and that it is easy access for criminals, pedifiles, etc.

You do have a choice about the information you put on the site. If you are under a certain age your profile is automatically private, but you can also make it private yourself. You don't have to put where you live, the school you attend, your occupation, etc. Also, you can pick who your friends are. If you don't want to be friends with the person, simply deny them.

I have a Myspace and have never had an issue with it.

If your daughter wants one, you should try it out with her. Sign up with her and let her know what information you would allow her to put on her page. If you don't like it, you can always delete it.

ppl can find u but if ur private it says privat profile u have 2 be their friend 2 c their profile. i have one but all my friends i know. i disreguard ppl i don't know. sometimes in order to have to be there friend you have to know their real last name or e-mail. i suggest u put no pictures WAT SO EVER. NO MATTER WHAT!! bad exeperinces

no they cannot, however the can track your ip address! this will give them a state thats all..no address

Myspace is old news...Apparently FaceBook is now in.

Myspace has a ton of predators because of its "popularity" I personally wouldn't use it.

Myspace is full of spammers now and not as many people get on it anymore because of that and the bad media. I suggest facebook....

i personally like Myspace i use it to keep in contact with family and old friends from HIGH SCHOOL........ if you set your daughters profile to private then she or you will be the ones to accept or decline the people that wanna be added as her friend!!!! like there is even a way when u set it to private that they will have to either know her email address or last name before they can even request to be a friend
