Is myspace good or bad???

My personal opinion is that myspace is good, provided you act responsibly. I joined so that I could keep in contact with my sister, who lives about four hours away, so I rarely see her. Her space is private, because she's only fifteen, but mine is public. It also helps me keep in contact with people I went to school with.

Just don't post anything personal on there. My address isn't on there, neither is my phone number or my email. The photographs are of me and I always ask my friends' permission before I put them on there. I only add people I know to my friends list, or bands.

That said, there are freaks out there who go to kids' sites and say and do freaky things. So if you have kids that have myspaces, make them set their myspace to private. That way nobody can access their page unless they let them. Make sure you educate them about stranger danger, and make sure they know not to put any personal details such as their phone number on the site.

Also, some people use myspace for bullying. Just like the texting bully, myspace bullys are sneaky and it's hard to get them to stop. The best thing you, or your kid, or whoever, can do, is block them and report abuse to the Myspace guy.

But provided you know how to use myspace safely and with awareness, it can be a lot of fun!

myspace goes both ways- good, because it is a really great way to find old friends that you have lost contact with over the years.

its bad because rapists/petifiles could find you, but that's why you should always leave it on private [your friends can only see your profile, or if you leave it on public, have a myspace tracker]

Overall, at least for kids, bad. It exposes their personal information that stalkers, abductors, etc. can use.

This may sound a little weird..but id say that for boys its good and for girls..its bad..Heres why, For boys its just a way to pick up girls(in my opinion)...Which is fine...no one is really gonna threaten a teenage guy ot try to track them down(most likely) on myspace, and since ur a guys Id say ur good. However if your a girl then Id say that its a whole different story...A large majority of girls that have myspaces have them for the wrong reason. This is why i think that petifiles sit online all night going through fifteen year olds profiles. People are saying myspace is bad, but its really not. its auctually a great concept, if it were used for the reasons intended. But its not. Girls get on there just so they can bash eachother and post bad pictures of themselves, and for this reason i dont blame their parent for not allowing them to have one. Last year this dumb chick tiffany posted all kinds of mean, false, rude, and derogatory comments about me on her myspace just because she didnt like me...So there you have it...Myspace is good if u are careful and use it for the reasons intended....And i would say alot safer for boys than girls..but thats just my opinion...Robbie..call me later...I dont know why i just wrote all of this when i could just tell ya later what i thought..o well..CHA:)

I think it is fine as long as you do not go over bored. people can get annoyed. its part of life.
